NCT members have elected three trustees to our Board to lead us through the next phase of our charity’s recovery and renewal. Find out more about them.
Thank you to all our members who voted for our three new Trustees ahead of our Annual General Meeting on Friday 26 November 2021. At the meeting, the results of the election were announced and we were delighted to welcome Zoe Stewart-Field (top centre), who has been elected as a new Trustee, and Sarah Brown (top right) and Elaine Lambe (top left), who have been re-elected for a second term.
On being elected as a new Trustee, Zoe Stewart-Field said: ‘I’m delighted to be starting as a Trustee with NCT, an organisation that does such important work supporting new families through pregnancy and early parenthood.
‘As an obstetric registrar I’m fortunate to be part of people’s pregnancy and birth experience on a daily basis.
‘I hope that this experience will be valuable in my work with NCT and, in turn, that I’ll be able to contribute more holistically to parents’ experiences of pregnancy and the first 1000 days of their children’s lives.’
Announcing the outcomes of the election, Stephanie Maurel, our Chair of Trustees said: ‘I’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who expressed an interest and stood for election this year. It was fantastic to have such strong candidates and we’ll benefit enormously from the energy, skills and experience that each Trustee brings.
‘We have taken positive action to increase the diversity of our Board of Trustees and build our capacity in terms of skills and lived experience. Over the last year, we have welcomed Franciane Husbands-Chevot, Chi Evi-Parker and Ema Ojiako as Trustees, and are delighted to now welcome Zoe Stewart-Field to the Board – alongside the re-election of Sarah and Elaine. Together, they bring a wealth of professional and lived experience to our Board.’
