Our Big Give campaign raised a huge £25,228 for our incredible Infant Feeding Line – enough to expand capacity on the line for another year!
Last month, we took part in the Big Give Women and Girls Match Fund 2022 in order to raise funds for our incredible Infant Feeding Line.
It was a relief to admit I was struggling, you helped shine a light.
The campaign ran from 8 to 22 March, and every penny that you donated was match funded by the government. With the amazing generosity of the 278 people who donated, we raised £25,228!
This will help us to expand capacity on our free-to-access Infant Feeding Line for a whole year.
Our trained counsellors will be able to provide skilled support with all types of feeding, to more new mums during the very early days and weeks with their baby. The line is open 8am to midnight every day of the year – parents can just call 0300 330 0700.
This support is so vital as Covid-19 continues to impact community services and practical and emotional support for new parents.
Postnatal experiences remain particularly difficult. New mums report high levels of isolation and anxiety and struggle to get support with feeding their baby.
Women of Black, Asian and minority ethnic backgrounds, or living in the most deprived areas, are disproportionately affected – with higher risk for mums and their babies, and more challenging experiences of mental health and infant feeding.
You can call our Infant Feeding Line every day of the year, including Bank Holidays and weekends, from 8am to midnight. Yes, that’s right – the line will be open over the whole Easter Bank Holiday weekend. Call 0300 330 0700.
