We’re delighted that following new guidance from the government, our NCT Walk and Talk groups can now start again.
Since the beginning of lockdown and COVID restrictions, we’ve been campaigning for the needs of new and expectant parents to be recognised.
Earlier this week, Sarah, our Director of Impact and Engagement, attended an event hosted by the Royal Foundation. We shared concerns about the impact of restrictions on community support and maternity services.
It’s therefore fantastic to see that the government in England has recognised the vital need for support groups for new and expectant parents in its latest COVID-19 guidance.
We’re adding new groups to our website all the time. Can’t find one near you? Find out how you can help us start a new NCT Walk and Talk in your local area.
Thanks to our amazing network of volunteers we’re starting NCT Walk and Talk groups across the country.
The groups are a chance to get outside and meet other new parents in a safe, socially distanced way. Find one near you.
“I haven’t been able to go to any of the normal baby groups I’d hoped to. It felt amazing to finally get to meet other mums and know I’m not alone.”
You can find support and information about your pregnancy and baby on our website, covering everything from feeding to potty training.
