Earlier this month we held a glittering ceremony for our NCT Stars Awards 2018 finalists.
They all make a fantastic contribution to our charity and parents across the UK at an incredibly important time in their lives.
Attendees had a full day of exploring the galleries, hearing stories and seeing a planetarium show before finding out the long-awaited winners.
The Volunteer of the Year award went to Alison Stephenson, North East Regional Coordinator.
Alison’s dedication and support was felt by the judges to be truly inspirational, reaching so many people both within her region and beyond.
Claire Maguire was named Practitioner of the Year.
A dedicated postnatal leader, she really enjoys her work supporting new parents at this special time in their lives.
The impact that she has had on parents was very evident in the volume of the voices in support of her nomination.
The NCT Perth branch won Volunteer Team of the Year.
The judges noted the branch had demonstrated a huge effort and commitment to provide services.
The strength and feeling in the nominations made is a credit to the team.
Meanwhile, NCT Team of the Year went to the strong team of NCT Peterborough branch, Baby Café and BBCS.
Together they provide an incredible network of support for new parents.
Their trailblazing, collaborative approach and cooperation across all parts of the organisation really stood out to the judges.
Finally, our new category Prunella Briance Award for Making it Happen was presented to Sally Hogg.
She’s been tenacious and focused in her support for all parents over the first 1,000 days and is involved with so many aspects of NCT.
Well done to all our amazing nominees, finalists and winners.
