We’re inviting nominations from our NCT membership to fill two trustee positions. Find out how to request a Candidate Information Pack to learn more about the role.
Trustees are crucial to the success of NCT. As we start to roll out our bold new five-year For Every Parent strategy, there has never been a more important time to join our Board of Trustees to help NCT deliver on its mission to support people as they become parents, ensuring that they feel confident, connected, and safe.
Trustees are volunteers who play a vital role in the leadership and governance of NCT and work to create an inclusive culture where everyone can feel valued and able to thrive.
They ensure that the Charity complies with the requirements of the Charity Commission, remains open and transparent and does not breach any requirements or rules set out in NCT’s governing documents.
The Board also provide strategic oversight and input into the running of the Charity and contributes towards securing a sustainable funding and resource base for the Charity’s future.
We recognise that good leadership and governance are best achieved by having a diverse and inclusive Board of Trustees. In the last few years, we have been working hard on our plan of work to meet our commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion.
One key step was to improve representation on the Board of Trustees from Black, Asian and minority ethnic backgrounds and LGBTQIA+ parents. However, there are still gaps in the lived experience that we want to see on our Board, so we would like this year’s election to be another opportunity to enhance the Board’s diversity even further.

We’re delighted to be inviting nominations from our NCT membership community to fill two trustee positions.

We are also seeking candidates who reside in Wales and Scotland.
