We’re celebrating childbirth and looking for parents who are willing to share their photos just after birth – meeting their baby for the first time.
It follows the announcement of the winners of the Birth Becomes Her image contest. In the competition, 1,200 photos were entered from around the world, all capturing the emotion, intensity and power of birth.
Birth Becomes Her was founded in 2013 by birth photographers Monet Nicole and Jennifer Mason. It’s an online community that runs classes and forums to make birth photography more accessible to photographers and expectant parents.
They believe there is power in seeing and sharing images of birth. And that there is nothing more valuable than preserving memories from the very best days of your life.
It is with this in mind that we’re calling for parents who wish to share their own images to celebrate childbirth. We’d love you to get involved.
