Huge congratulations to Helen Shanahan for being awarded a British Empire Medal in the New Year Honours List for services to midwifery.
NCT breastfeeding counsellor Helen Shanahan has received a BEM in the Queen’s New Year Honours 2020. The prestigious award acknowledges Helen’s volunteer work at a breastfeeding group in Falmouth for over 22 years, and supporting mums in Cornwall in her work as a midwife.
We’ll follow up on her trip to the royal garden party celebration this summer.
