In 2013, we carried out a survey with the Women’s Institute to find out about women’s experiences of giving birth. Some of the findings were shocking – a staggering 60% of women said they wanted more support with postnatal care and one in five women did not see a midwife as often as they needed in the days and weeks after birth. The final report received a lot of media coverage and has been quoted in debates in Parliament and in the National Maternity Review for England.
We’re now repeating the survey to see if anything has changed or improved in the past three years and would love to hear from as many of you as possible.
Please share your birth experience with us and take part in the survey.
