NCT & the Big Give: Double the impact for women and people as they become parents

This October, we’re taking part in the 2023 Big Give. For one week only, your donation to NCT will be match funded. Find out how to turn your £10 into £20, £50 into £100…

The Big Give, the UK’s biggest online match funding platform, has chosen NCT to be part of their 2023 Women and Girls Match Fund.

This kind of support means that donations made via Big Give from midday 11 October-18 October 2023 will have twice the impact. If NCT can raise £10,000, these generous gifts will be doubled to £20,000 to help more women and people as they become parents.

In 2022, kind donors and the Big Give helped our NCT Infant Feeding Line increase its capacity by an additional 28 hours per week to provide more parents with free access to professionally qualified Breastfeeding Counsellors.

In 2023, we will be asking for help to support everyone who becomes a parent to feel safe, confident and connected.

NCT is increasingly concerned that experiences of pregnancy, birth and parenthood vary wildly across the UK. In 2023, we will be asking for help to support everyone who becomes a parent to feel safe, confident and connected. You may already know about, or have used some of our activities such as:

  • Our local NCT community groups like NCT Bumps & Babies, NCT Baby Cafés or NCT Walk & Talk.
  • Emergency Baby Bundles, packed with essentials like nappies, wipes and baby clothes, for new mothers and families in emergency circumstances.
  • Parents in Mind, our peer support programme for new mothers and parents experiencing poor mental health after birth.
  • Our Maternity Service of Sanctuary, Newham Nurture, for expectant and new mothers from refugee, asylum-seeking or homeless communities.
  • Our free-to-access NCT Infant Feeding Helpline (0300 330 0700) open 8am to midnight 365 days a year.
