Anna Sky Hulton, along with several other Preston-based volunteers, have opened up the local NCT branch which had been dormant for four years. They are leading a full programme of activities – read more about what they’re doing and what’s in store.
The newly revived NCT Preston is one of a network of over 300 local NCT branches in the UK, run by volunteers and dedicated to supporting parents via a range of services including Walk and Talks, coffee mornings, baby first aid courses and much, much more.
Anna Sky Hulton, NCT Preston Branch Coordinator, said: “We decided to relaunch the Preston branch after meeting on an NCT course in 2020. Despite being on Zoom many of us kept in touch and strong friendships formed.
“Because of this, we’d like other parents-to-be and new parents to benefit from meeting others, as all parents need support and friendship, especially in the early days of having a baby.
“We want to help parents-to-be and new parents get together to form a friendly and accessible support network.
“We already have lots of activities planned including Walk and Talks, which are available to anyone and free.” Anyone interested in joining us will need to book via this link.
What’s more, the branch are setting up a Baby Bundles scheme for local families who may need them, and have been awarded £1000 from Anwyl Homes Lancashire to help them do this.
Congratulations, Anna Sky and everyone at NCT Preston!
